Blackburn Rovers 2009 Calendar. The Rovers were established in 1875 and were a founding member of the Football League in 1888. The club moved to their permanent home of Ewood Park in 1890 and have enjoyed several highs and lows there ever since. The club’s motto is “Arte et labore” which was used by the town council prior to the formation of the club and when translated means “by art and by labour”.
