Snowboarding 2009 Calendar
Snowboarding 2009 Calendar. Snowboarding originated in the U.S. in the late 1960's. Many of the early boards were of rudimentary design when compared to the high specification models made from strong durable and light weight materials available today. There are two primary styles of snowboarding: 1) freestyle/freeride and 2) alpine/carving. Snowboarding has grown massively in popularity in recent times and as such made its Olympics debut in Nagano, Japan in 1998. More recently, it returned to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City with 2 events, the halfpipe and parallel giant slalom. This classic sized square wall calendar opens out to reveal a month to view with extreme photography capturing the thrills n' spills of extreme Snowboarding. Photography by Kevin Klein.
